This ELISA test
is a qualitative serological assay for the detection of Watermelon silver
mottle virus (WSMoV) and Groundnut bud necrosis virus (GBNV) in cucurbit and
peanut leaves. The test cannot distinguish between the two virus species.
WSMoV and GBNV are members of the Orthotospovirus genus known for their
enveloped, spherical-shaped virus particles.
